Greetings and blessings to you, our St. Pius X Family:

Thank you for your support and time at St. Pius X. We know our church would not function or thrive without your attendance and know that we are forever grateful.

It’s no secret that St. Pius X had an extraordinarily hot summer, and if you attended mass over the last few months, you heard about our new Capital Campaign, which has been carefully orchestrated to cover the costs of our Air Conditioning replacement in the church and the parish hall, among other maintenance needs that have been postponed due to cost such as an updated Fire Alarm System for both the Church and Parish Hall. We are fortunate that our weekly collections have covered our operating expenses. However, what most don’t know is that we run a deficit most of the year, except for the January – March period; which means when major repairs and replacements are needed, there are no funds to cover them.

We are kicking off our “Renew and Refresh 2020” Capital Campaign this fall, to pay for the AC replacement, an updated Fire Alarm System and to build a small reserve for future improvements and repairs.. We have projected the cost of these present renovations to be $650,000. While this may seem like a lofty goal, it has been nearly 20 years since we’ve asked for such a donation and commitment to the future of St. Pius X.

We have already raised nearly $100,000 from parishioners and individual donors. We are most grateful for our early benefactors. In response to this generosity from our parish, the Archdiocese of Miami has secured a no-interest loan in the amount of $450,000 to complete the AC and Fire Alarm projects immediately, preceding our campaign.

Enclosed, you will find a pledge card that gives you the options of making a one-time donation or making a pledge to be paid over time. The envelope can be mailed, dropped off to the office or put into the baskets at the mass collections. We will also provide options for direct debits from banking accounts or credit cards; you choose which is most convenient for you.

We thank you, in advance, for your kind generosity and continued support of St. Pius X. The year-round AND seasonal parishioners as well as our visitors are the church’s family and its protectors. We are the ones who are responsible for keeping our buildings safe and beautiful for many years to come.
